Obituary of Marie E. Moreno
Marie passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at 77 years young. She was raised in San Francisco and attended Balboa high school where she met her loving husband Frank Moreno and made many lifelong friendships. Shortly after graduating Marie and Frank were married and started their family. They moved to Rohnert Park in 1977 where they raised their two daughters and made beautiful and lasting memories. Her family and friends meant the world to her and were truly the backbone of her life. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for them. Marie worked in retail for many years and once she retired her passion for life and being engaged in the community inspired her to get back out and continue to work. She became a manicurist and also worked at Weight watchers where she made very special friendships. Her absolute greatest and rewarding joys began when she became a grandmother. Many new traditions began from her heart that will last us a lifetime. Such as the great Easter egg hunt, no matter how old her grandsons or daughters became the hunt was always on. Thanks Mom. She also loved to travel with her family and sailed various oceans embarking on exciting journeys. Spending that time with them brought her such great happiness. She was the loving wife of Frank Joseph Moreno for 59 years. Survived by her children: Anna Goodwin (Bryant), Marie Barbera (Tyson), and adored grandson Grant Goodwin. Preceded in death by her loving grandson Joseph Bryant Goodwin. She is also survived by her deeply loved sisters and brother: Enriqueta Perez, Jalina Humphrey (Paul) and Ignacio Salgado as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Marie touched so many lives throughout her wonderful journey of life and truly gave all of her heart to each and every one of them. Her love of life and devotion to her family and friends will be greatly missed. No services are scheduled at this point in time. A celebration of her life will be held in Santa Rosa at a future date to be announced.
