Obituary of Anna M. Vetter
Passed away at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital on July 26, 2019, a few days after her 92nd birthday. Born in 1927 and raised in Santa Rosa, daughter of Kate and Samuel Gotvig, proud sister of seven brothers, Dan and Anthony Marelich; John, Tony and George Buzzini; Peter Biocini and Joe Wardell.
She attended St. Rose School. Anna and her best friend Evelyn Zanolini met their future husbands, George Vetter and Willie Dye while the guys were in the Army doing a stent at the Santa Rosa Fairgrounds. Anna and George then got married and had two children, George Jr. and Ann.
After living a few places, they settled in southwest Santa Rosa, where they started their little farm, which included all types of animals. Cats were her love, she was known as "Grandma Kitty."
Survived by her daughter, Ann Tommervik (Dennis); granddaughters, Julie; Gina; Amy and Karla; great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; dear cousin of Gloria, Frankie, Mandy and Doreen, and best friends, The Weckerle's.
Funeral service will be held at Santa Rosa Memorial Park Chapel; 1900 Franklin Avenue, Santa Rosa on Friday, August 9th at 11:00 a.m. Donations may be made to The Humane Society, in memory of Anna.
