With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Dad, Philip P Fogal. He passed away on Wednesday November 7, 2018 at his home. He was born in Madera, Calif. on June 29, 1940, the oldest of 5 children. He attended Jr. High & High School in Healdsburg, California. He was a proud Greyhound, graduating in 1959. He excelled in Basketball and Track. Dad loved sharing all his H.S. memories with us. He was a shy guy but he enjoyed traveling with his H.S. basketball team to compete with several schools. .
He met his beloved wife Estela in 1971 and wed in 1972. Philip loved her so much he married her with her 6 children and raised them and loved them as his own. His heart was full of love for their children. He loved celebrating birthdays, and never let a birthday go by without cake and ice cream. He had an amazing sense of humor and would do anything to make his kids laugh. He enjoyed every minute with all his grandchildren, attending their school events and after school activities. He had a passion for classic cars and owned many during his lifetime. His 1957 Chevy Bel Air was his pride and joy. He went to most of the local car shows and also to The GoodGuys Rod & Custom show in Pleasanton California. We miss him with all our hearts, but we know he is now with the love of his life, Estela. He is survived by his 5 children: Arcadio G. Fogal (Missy) Jose A. Gutierrez, Miguel A. Fogal, Estela Flores (Martin), Juan F.Fogal ( Timi Lisa), Sarah Schrader, who he considered part of the family, his 5 grandchildren, who made his heart smile, his sister Julia Cervantes, his brother, Robert D. Fogal, his sister Ada,his sisters and brothers in law, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Estela C. Fogal, his daughter Martha E. Gutierrez, his parents, Rose Marie Valenzuela Fogal and Philip J. Fogal, his brother William G. Fogal
Family and Friends are invited to Eggen & Lance Chapel, 1540 Mendocino Ave. Santa Rosa, California on Monday November 26, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. for visitation. Interment Services will be Wednesday November 28, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery 2930 Bennett Valley Rd. Santa Rosa, California
