Obituary of Phom Thongsa
Mrs. Phom Thongsai was born on December 18th 1932 at village called Ban Kune Hoong, City of Muengphieng, Province of Syaburi, Country of Laos. Mrs. Phom’s Father’s name Thong and her Mother’s name Sa.
Mrs. Phom Thongsa has 4 siblings in total. Mr. Phern, Mrs. Phom, Mrs. Joom, and Ms. Nyoth. Mrs. Phom’s occupation was a farmer and gardener most of her life. Later in life she met a man name Hae Khiobouakham. They both fell in love and got married and have 11 children which 4 are deceased and she is survived by 7. The country soon became in distress, causing her and her family to move to the refugee camp in Thailand, called camp Naam Yao, city of Pua Province of Nan Country of Thailand. Mrs. Phom Thongsa spent 3 years in the refugee camp and decided to move her family to America for a better life. She arrived in Santa Rosa, California in August 1980. Mrs. Phom Thongsa has 25 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Later in life, Mrs. Phom Thongsa became ill due to her age. She peacefully went home to be with the Lord on October 23, 2018 at 5:30 am. Mrs. Phom Thongsa left behind her beloved children, great grandchildren, great- great grandchildren, aunt, uncle, family and friends. She will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 26th between 9:00-11:00 a.m., following Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Eggen & Lance Chapel; 1540 Mendocino Avenue in Santa Rosa. Burial will be at Santa Rosa Memorial Park; 1900 Franklin Avenue in Santa Rsa.
