Obituary of Hae Khiobouakham
Mr. Hae Khiobouakham was born on March 19, 1930 in a village called Ban Huay Than, county of Meung Peang, province of Syaburi Laos. His father’s name is Kio and his mother’s name is Bouakham.
Mr. Hae Khiobouakham met Ms. Phom Thongsa. They both fell in loved and got married. Together, they have eleven children, four are deceased. The surviving children are Pheang, Nga, Thy, Souay, Khongsai, Chan, and Phat. Hae has 25 grand-children, 21 great grand-children, and 2 great great grand-children.
Hae Khiobouakham was a farmer and gardener all his life in Laos. Up until 1975 there was great distress in the country. He was forced to move his family to Thailand where they spent living in a Refugee Camp called Naam Yao, county of Ampur Pua, province of Nan Thailand. Mr. Hae Khiobouakham spent three years in the camp and decided to give a better life for his family. He then applied to come to America, reaching his destination on August 27, 1980. Ever since then, he lived his whole life in Sonoma County.
In January of 1995, he accepted Jesus to be his Lord and Savior. In January of 1996 he was baptized.
In the year of 2017, Hae suffered from multiple health issues. This resulted from him being in and out of the hospital. In the last weeks of September, he became very ill. Hae took his last breath on September 30, 2018 at approximately 2:29 am.
He is survived by his loving wife, 7 children, 25 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 4, 2018 between 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Eggen & Lance Chapel; 1540 Mendocino Avenue in Santa Rosa. Family and friends are invited to the Funeral Service on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Eggen & Lance Chapel, burial to follow at Santa Rosa Memorial Park.
