Henry, “The Happy Fisherman” or “Hank”, Okray passed away peacefully at the VA hospital in San Francisco, California. He was preceded in death by his son (Allen), and wives (Mary) (Mildred) (Virginia). Henry is survived by his children Arthur, Robert, Kathleen, Carol, stepchildren Ruth, Carl and James and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Henry is also survived by his companion, Mimi Vaughn, for the past seven years. Henry was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He served in the Army in World War II and was honorably discharged. In Milwaukee, Wisconsin he worked as a concrete contractor and was a bar owner. He moved to California and worked on highways, bridges and dams. In 1969, Henry moved to Santa Rosa, California and worked for and retired from Coleman Concrete. He was a union cement mason for 60+ years. He was also a commercial Salmon fisherman, out of Bodega Bay, California, for 28 years. Henry enjoyed fishing, cooking, deer hunting, polka music, dancing, going to Reno, Nevada, attending the Wisconsin Picnic, and being surrounded by family and friends. The Happy Fisherman will be deeply missed.
