Rex Gene Strickland of Santa Rosa, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the age of 87. He was born June 5, 1930 in Hobart, Oklahoma. After moving to California in 1950, he joined the Army and proudly served his country during the Korean War. Rex spent most of his life as a local business owner and real estate developer. He was a great family man and a loving and devoted father. His family and friends will always remember him as a very kind and gentle person.
Rex is survived by his wife Patricia, his three daughters, Dena Smith (Michael), Dana Werner (Stuart) and Dona Standard (Anthony), his eight grandchildren, Camron (Celina), Collin and Caylah Smith, Alex and Alden Werner, Emma Wilcoxson (Matt), Kenton and Holly Standard, also a great-granddaughter Thea Smith.Rex is also survived by three stepchildren, Shelley Knight (Eric), Christopher Underwood (Susan), Dena LeCave (Sean), six step-grandchildren, Morgan and Brenna Knight, Matthew and Sarah Underwood, Chloe and Justine LeCave.
Family and friends are invited to a Funeral Service on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., at Santa Rosa Memorial Park Chapel, 1900 Franklin Ave, Santa Rosa.
