Robert John Crozier Jr, 93, passed on May 30, 2016 in Santa Rosa, CA. Born on November 7, 1922 to Robert J. and Martha Henrietta (Hanjes) Crozier in San Francisco, CA. Robert enlisted in the Air Force in World War II with his parents signed consent. He tried to become a pilot but got air sickness and had to settle being a mechanic on B-29 Bombers. After the service, he went to work for Tomasini’s, working on pumps for wells on dairy ranches. A short time after that he went to work for Petaluma CoOperative Creamery, which is now Clover Stornetta Farms, Inc. where he worked until his retirement. Robert was always proud to be part of the Irish Dougan family which had eight sons and one daughter. He told us stories how they would go out to their ranch and his uncle would go out and shoot a deer for dinner. His love of his life, Darlene Gilbert Crozier, passed away January 25, 2014 at the age of 87. He cared for her until he broke his leg and then got Laisa to care for them. Family members include son Larry (Denise), daughter Sheila Gondola (Richard), many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Robert was always very happy and a positive person. He looked at the glass half full not half empty, and he would do anything he could for his family. We want to thank Dr. Matsuda, care giver Laisa Ruta, St. Joseph Health Hospice Service people, and his main happy nurses Heather and Jessica. Funeral Service will be held at Santa Rosa Memorial Park on Tuesday, June 7 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please give to the Alzheimer’s Association.
