Paul Vinci, 94, Santa Rosa, Passed away in his home Thursday February 11, 2016 at his Rincon Valley home with 2 of his granddaughters at his side.
Born August 28, 1921 in Oakville, Connecticut. Paul was a WWII Veteran having served in the US Navy PT Boat Squadron in the Southern Pacific Campaigns, his RON 21 receiving the 1st Presidential Unit Award.
Moving to San Francisco after the war ended, Paul met Agnes . The two moved to Santa Rosa and were married November 3, 1951.
Paul began his career with the United States Postal Services in 1951, retiring in 1981.
He is Survived by his Wife of 64 years, Agnes, son Edd, and Daughter-In-Law Maudie Kaye of Tucson, AZ , daughter Kathy Vinci-Gowan of Ruidoso, New Mexico, son Tom ,Santa Rosa, 6 Grandchildren & 5 Great Grandchildren.
Paul was active in the Santa Rosa American Legion Post 21 for over 50 years, and played in the Drum & Bugle Corp marching band.
He was also a member of the Sonoma Voiture 338 of 40/8, La Societe des Hommes et 8 Chevaux.
