Marjorie Elaine Azevedo Beno, 85, passed away at Evergreen Lakeport Healthcare on January 4th, 2017. Marjorie was born in Poetry, Texas on February 1, 1931, to parents William E Bennett and Maggie P. Dennis Bennett. She married William Azevedo and they loved and cared for his children William Azevedo Jr., Mona Schrick, and Eve Ellingson. Later, they were blessed with more children, Suzi-Elaine Azevedo, Jose A. “Joe” Azevedo, and an infant daughter, Teresa Maria Azevedo, who was deceased at birth. They divorced after 18 years of marriage and she was later married to Harold Beno for a few years. Marjorie lived in Sonoma County for many years, but was relocated to Lakeport in the last 18 months for her final days. She loved her family very much and was always there for them with her love and support, even when things were difficult. She was so proud of all her grandkids and great-grandkids. She loved to brag on them and watch them grow and learn new things. She was known to friends and family for her smile, unconditional love, and encouraging words. She was also a Christian with a strong faith and the blessed assurance of her salvation in Jesus which sustained her and brought much joy in her life. Marjorie is preceded in death by William Azevedo, Mona Schrick, Billy Castro, and Doug Schrick. She is survived by step-children, William Azevedo Jr., of Rocklin, and Eve Ellingson of Martinez; children, Suzi-Elaine Azevedo of Lakeport, and Joe Azevedo of Jenks, OK; step-grandchildren, Nicole Azevedo Grant, Dede Azevedo, Brian Azevedo, Eva Castro McSorley, Debbie Schrick, Scarlet Russell, and Nikki Horne; grandchildren, Jonathan Nelson, Stephen Nelson, Jr., Tracy Nelson Vazquez, Timothy Azevedo, Daniel Azevedo, and Janelle Azevedo; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Joseph Nelson, Jr., Anthony Vazquez, Angel Vazquez Jr., and Lucas Nelson. Visitation will be held at Santa Rosa Memorial Park Chapel on Friday January 13th, 2017 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., located at 1900 Franklin Avenue Santa Rosa, CA 95402. A funeral service and committal will be held on Saturday January 14th, 2017 at 3:00 p.m., at Santa Rosa Memorial Park Chapel and Cemetery. Celebrant, Tim Maloney.
