Joy Lynn Price, 78, passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of Thursday, June 23, 2016. She was the widow of Earl Price and a longtime resident of Sonoma County. Joy and Earl shared 54 beautiful years of marriage together. Born in Nampa, Idaho, Joy was the first born of Victor and Charlotte (Esther) Rhodes. Her family moved to Healdsburg in 1954, where she attended Healdsburg High School. Joy was a member of the class of 1955, the first class to graduate from the high school’s current location. Joy worked as a judicial assistant for Judge Brian Jamar from 1976 to her retirement in 1996. Joy loved to travel, especially to Mazatlan, Mexico. She will always be remembered for her smile, sense of humor, her drive, selflessness and unwavering love and devotion to her family. Joy is survived by her sister, Phyllis Rhodes; son, Mark Price; daughter, Connie Panthen; granddaughters, Sjarina Hester and Karen Zeiger; grandsons, Victor and Alan Robarts; and great-grandbabies, James and Gavin Hester and Kennedi Zeiger; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Joy is predeceased by her husband, Earl Price, and sister, Gail Baker. A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Santa Rosa Memorial Park, Shiloh Annex, 1750 Shiloh Rd, Windsor.
