Eva Harriet Wilson, 82, passed away May 17, 2017 at home in her sleep after succumbing to cancer. Born April 5, 1935 to Wayne and Ella Keele in Blackfoot, Idaho. She and her 3 brothers and 3 sisters were raised on a potato farm until Wayne built a house for his family in town. She was married to Victor “Jim” Wilson for 36 years raising a family while living in San Jose, California. Eva pursued various occupations from taxi cab dispatcher as a teenager, waitress, department store clerk, to eventually retire as a Physician’s Office Manager. Believing in the importance of education she finished high school in 1970 and earned her Associates Degree in Accounting in 1973.
She is survived by brother Gene Keele; her children Barbara and James “Charlie”; grandkids Angela, Christopher, and Christina; and finally the great grandkids Donovan, Jimmy, and Sofia. Additionally, she was foster mom to Sharon, Ralph, Rachel, Elizabeth, Jim, and Hector. Eva was always supportive of friends and family, and kept a hopeful view of life and all its’ possibilities.
Visitation service will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017 between 2:00-5:00 p.m. at Eggen & Lance Chapel, 1540 Mendocino Avenue in Santa Rosa, with a blessing at 3:30 p.m. from Father Denis O’Sullivan. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Fuiten, Rose & Hoyt Funeral Home, 2308 Pacific Avenue in Forest Grove, with Reverend Richard E. Osburn. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Mt. View Memorial Gardens, 499 Watercrest Road in Forest Grove.
