Celia lost her battle to cancer on April 2, 2016 surrounded by friends and family.
Born May 19, 1932 in El Charco municipality of Uriangato, Guanajuato, Mexico where she made her home. Celia was the daughter of Socorro Ruiz and Isaias Gonzalez, both deceased. On April 4th, she immigrated with her three kids to California and made her home in Alexander Valley. On March 14, 1961, Celia gave birth to her youngest son Nicholas, deceased.
Celia’s siblings include: Guadalupe (deceased), Silvino (unknown whereabouts or status), Amelia, Zenaida (deceased), Avelino, Trinidad (deceased), and Isaias. Celia was pre-deceased by her daughter Teresa, and her son Nicholas, as well as her grandson Jaime. Celia leaves behind son-in-law Hector, son Manuel and Alicia, daughter Amalia and Tony, daughter-in-law Isabel, eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, two great great grand kids as well as many friends and wonderful neighbors. Celia’s family are at a loss for words to express their gratitude for all the love and support before her illness and during her time of need as well as after her passing.
Celia’s family and friends are invited to the viewing on Sunday April 10th from 4-7 PM and rosary at 7 PM located at St. John’s Catholic Church in Healdsburg. Monday will be the funeral mass at 11 AM at the same church followed by burial at Oak Mound Cemetery in Healdsburg at 12:30 PM.
